I have the same stand at home and I have been using it for about a year now. I have simpsons chubby 2 and it just fits with a gentle turn of the brush as you sit it in the stand.
I like because it's cheap and out of the way; of course one should ensure they have a level counter top/ sink before they purchase this as theres not much weight to it for free-standing. I have mine affixed with adhesive to my backsplash. Works great.

This is a humble, generic brush stand. I cannot imagine how one would have expectations of such an item.
It works as designed with my Vulfix 2006 and Body Shop synthetic. It is a permanent resident on my lavatory sink, always and successfully holds a brush which visitors to my home comment upon.
It's a lovely, well-balanced piece and rationally priced.

This stands absolutely fails to hold my reasonably standard (20something mm) Shavemac brush. No matter how I position it, the straight arms of this holder allow the brush to slip out. I had placed the stand on a shelf in my bathroom, and when the brush slipped out, it fell some distance to the sink below, and left a chip in the porcelain!
All this happened a while back, but I came across the useless stand while cleaning, and was prompted to finally write this review. I wish I'd written it sooner and perhaps saved someone else the same disappointment. I hope Lee's will let this review stand, or better yet pull this product!*
