As with all Edwin Jagger shaving brushes these are hand made in Sheffield, England, from finest quality polyester material and are filled with a new synthetic fibre which performs like badger hair but is more robust and can better withstand not being thoroughly dried between each use.  The feel of the fibre is soft and it will lather well with good quality shaving cream or soap. There may also be some gentle exfoliating effect.
