  1. Can I bump this up a Star?

    I reviewed this product earlier this month, but after using it a few more times, I need to move it up a notch. Trying a new blade, with a too aggressive razor, I ended up with some razor burn on my neck. Instead of putting the balm directly on, I rinsed my face really well with cold water then put on the balm. That made a real difference. Its a soothing aftershave. With a fragrance that reminds me of Pinaud's Clubman from my barber. Its not the same, but it reminds me of it, although the fragrance is faint. It doesn't dry out your skin, or leave it greasy. I will use it more as the summer approaches.

    Not a bad product and it will stay in my collection because its light, neutral smell will allow me to use it with shave creams and soaps that don't have an aftershave. But despite looking and feeling like a balm, it acts as a splash. I got the buzzy feel of an alcohol or witch hazel splash. I felt my pores tighten up. If you want that kind of product, this is a nice alternative because it is a balm, meaning it doesn't run out of your hand when you apply it. For me this is a product for summer use only, as that is the only time I use a splash.
