    In 5 decades of sundry types of razors I've seen plenty. A 60's Hoffritz slant bought in NYC gave remarkably close shaves. The Merkur open-comb 41c is right there as a nickel-plated artform and close shaving instrument. Albeit in hand, slightly more forgiving before the excitement of a new day.
