1. Outstanding shave

   I am developing an accumulation of razors after having made the switch to DE. Lee recommended this tool and his advise was helpful. A wonderful, nice, smooth shave with a head and handle that allows a multitude of positions to place the razor on the face. Makes the shave effortless. So far any blade is better than ok with Feather being the best. Look forward to the morning this razor is up in the rotation. Some have commented that the Merkur fit and finish is the not the best but it is a shaving tool afterall and performs this function splendidly. Highest ranking for both the product and the dealer!

2. Older is better

   I ordered this razor on a gamble that it would perform better than the new style razors. Well, it does. I got it in today and i couldn't be happier. If you're tired of the next "next great thing" in razors, try this out. On another note, it'll be cheaper in the long run since the safety razor refill blades are a lot less expensive than the disposable type. Well, depending on what type of refill blades you get.

   I've been using this razor for a few months now and I'm happy I decided to make the switch. When I first started I wasn't all to impressed, I still got redness and ingrown hairs on my neck, but on face the closeness was amazing. Like others have said about each person has to find the right combination of razor, blade, and shaving cream that works for them is 100% true. I'd hate it when people would say that but you honestly just have to try it out for yourself. I tried 2 types of blades before I found the one that worked but me. I bought a brush to lather shaving gel and foam but it didn't work for me. After doing a bit of looking around I found Nivea for men shaving foam and it is SO beast. Before I'd wear a bit of scruff to avoid the pain of shaving, but here I am a few months later proud to be a clean shaven young man. It really does give you a world of confidence. :)

4. great razor.

   Just got my razor. Let me tell you that this is a really nice razor for the money and a great introduction to safety razors. This is a really easy transition if you're used to cartridge type razors. If you take your time, and make sure that you're doing the proper technique then this will provide a very close shave.

5. All Around Amazing!!!

   I recently purchased this safety razor and was very excited to get to try it.
   
   I always get the worst razor burn on my neck after shaving, I always bought into the latest gimmicks of the newest razors and shaving creams to help but nothing ever worked.
   
   After searching for a solution for this problem I stumbled onto safety razors, I'd never seen them before and realized that this could be my solution to my problem so I decided I would try one out and if it didnt work i would just chalk it up to another failure for shaving.
   
   So I purchased a merkur 23C and couldn't wait to try it out. Lee's was awesome and shipped me my razor fast and was here in days (thanks again Lee!!).
   
   I opened my razor and went to try it out, i had a good 3 or 4 day scruff on my face and was very nervous to try a safety razor, all anyone ever told me was that I was sure to cut my face good (if your new to using a safety razor go on youtube, they have plenty of videos that can show you how to do it). I made some shaving cream and applied it with my 100% badger hair brush and was off shaving, I couldn't even feel the razor on my skin! I couldn't get over how close and smooth the shave was.
   
   I finished shaving and I was so happy to see what wasn't there, not only was my 3 day scruff not there but i had no nicks or cuts and especially no razor burn!! Im so happy that i got this razor and im looking forward to my shave tomorrow.
   
   If you have razor burn problems like me or if your just looking for a super close shave this is the way to go, I'm a Merkur fan all the way and will keep using my safety razor and ordering through Lee's

7. Shaving is now enjoyable

   I had been using nothing but throw-away razors since starting to shave. I remember my grand-dad using his safety razor and it was like something that he had to do each morning, but enjoyed it. I got this razor and I can honestly say now that I have been using it for at least six months, I don't see how I could ever go back to them. I was kinda worried about the grip since I do have large hands and have had a difficult time with the other ones. But this one fits perfect and it is like it was made just for me. I have spoiled myself with this safety razor. For the first time, I can do the morning shave and enjoy it and I have been. That is about all I have to say about that. Thanks

8. Great value!

   I tried several of the shorter,heavier razors when I started shaving with a DE. I didn't like them and always went back to a cartridge razor, but I got tired of the excessive drag from all those blades and the price. This was the last model I tried and I love it. The long handle makes an easy transition from modern razors and the knurled handle keeps it from slipping when its wet. Great starter razor!!

9. Great Razor for a new safety razor user.

   Hi I just wanted to let you all know Lee shipped this Gem to me in a timely manner and wow it's a great Razor.
   
   I was using a Schick quarto cartridge razor which my beard would tear up one cartridge in about 2-3 shaves and it just was getting to expensive.
   
   I need to Shave daily during the week since I wear a respirator while painting.
   
   I never used a safety razor before but after looking up some information on blade angle etc and getting some help from the nice folks over at the Badger and Blade forum which I joined ( http://www.badgerandblade.com/) I got my first Shave with it last night.
   
   I was nervous like a teen boy learning to shave all over again but I let the weight of the razor do all the work and took my time.
   
   In all Honesty I got a pretty good shave for newbie I had a smooth no burn shave and I did not get so much as a scratch.
   
   I'm actually looking forward to shaving now and Would not Trade my Merkur 23 c for anything.
   
   This razor has a nice feel to it and the Longer textured handle is non slip even with foam flying around.
   
   This razor is well built in my opinion and should last a very long time.
   
   I would Highly recommend this to anyone wanting make the switch to a double edge safety razor.
   
   As a side note I found the Merkur supers sharp enough to get the job done and very forgiving.

10. First Time User, Very Impresed!

    After 10+ years of regular disposable razors, I wanted to give the safety razor world a try. Wow, what a true difference this product has made. Zero cuts, super clean shave and excellent craftsmanship I know will last me many years. I will never go back to disposable razors!
