Very compact...almost James Bondish..

I have been using the Merkur Travel Razor (standard head) since Christmas and have found the shave to be exceptionally close. Shaves closer than the top of the line Gillette or Schick brands - I wouldn't have believed it had I not tried it. The top of the head is curved so that when you are pulling the razor across your face, the curve helps you achieve the right angle of the blade - so no nicks. It uses a standard safety razor and breaks down for storage into an incredibly small pouch (~ 2"x 2 1/2")...fits in the palm of your hand. Four stars because 1) the chrome is flaking on a section of an otherwise stellar instrument 2) the pouch is not leather as advertised.
