I love this razor

I can't give it 5 stars because i don't own any other safety razors so there might be better ones out there. But this is a wonderful piece of equipment.

Fit Finish and Design - Fine for a razor at this price. The twist to open works well, on tightening the blade is held firm and even on both sides and from end to end but attention should be paid to alignment during initial stage of tightening. The hinges on the doors (which I've heard were flimsy on older models) are sturdy and steady. The patterned side of the lower handle does not line up perfectly with the head when fully tightened. No problem for use but if the razor had cost more I would expect better. The chrome is nice and the pattern stamped in to the handle looks good.

Performance - Like I said I only own one DE razor but this one gives me the best shaves I've had in my life. Vastly better than electrics or multiblade plastic handle razors. Smooth shaves with little to no irritation now that I am mastering the technique required for a DE.

Feel - The handle is easy to grasp with slippery hands and offers easy pivot hold points at the joint where the two handle parts meet and at the end. The weight is 3 oz which is heavier than most. It's heavy enough to let the razor's weight do all the work without applying any extra pressure on downward strokes. The balance feels good when doing upward or side to side strokes.

Other - Easy to rinse while shaving or to clean when changing blades. Does not clog with hair while shaving.
