Cheap but OK

First off, this is not made of stainless steel, or any other kind of steel for that matter. At least, it is mostly unaffected by a magnet. The scales (handle) is completely not attracted by a magnet and the blade holder part is very slightly affected so there may be some steel there...? Also the body is hollow. The whole thing is held together by rivets.

All that having been said, it holds half a regular double-edged razor blade TIGHT. And shaving with a DE blade with no guard is a whole different kind of shaving, let me tell you. You have to get a regular straight razor really really sharp to come close to this thing.

Over all I like it but I will be on the lookout for a higher quality shavette that also accepts half DE blades. I will primarily use this razor to complement my regular straight razor or my safety razor. This thing is much sharper than either and the small width of the blade mades it very maneuverable.

But be warned, DE blades are very sharp. I thought I knew this already, but after the first time I used this thing my face looked like I had been attacked by ninjas. There is a big difference between a DE blade in a safety razor and a DE blade in this thing.
