This is the first shaving soap I've tried, as I've been using only shaving creams thus far. Comparing it to creams, it leaves my face a bit dryer than the creams, and the razor doesn't glide across my face quite as nice either. However, that may be the inherent difference between soaps and creams...so it's not meant to be a knock. It has a good scent, and it lathers up very easily, even though a firmer brush would probably work a bit better. Love the products Lee!

Trumpers Rose needs no further endorsement. If you are new to wet shaving and 'lions and tygers and scuttles oh my!' have you confused buy the wooden bowl.It's a simple and elegant accesory.

Excellent rose-scented soap

The Trumper Rose soap is one of my favorites, along with DR Harris Arlington and Speick. The lather is excellent, and gives a great shave.
