1. Incredible Razor

   This leaves the vintage adjustable Gillette as well as my favorite Mach III AND Fusion gathering rust in the drawer. Still working on finding the right blade but the Merkur Platinum that came with it still sings.

2. Great Razor.

   This is a BBS machine.Go aggressive with the grain, mildly aggressive accross and very mild against and for problem area touch ups. I get BBS with no stinging what so ever on the rinse off. For a quick 2 pass shave, I prefer my Merkur Slant, but for a 15-20 minute BBS shave, this is my ticket. Believe the hype on the Mergress...it is all that!

5. Worth shipping overseas

   I am based in the UK and have really caught the DE shaving bug. I have got a selection of razors from the major companies and soaps and creams so can mix my line up to suit skin conditions and the weather, which seems to affect how close a shave I can achieve. This really is one hell of a razor, it has a good degree of weight and the adjustability lets the user find a perfect cut without the horrible scrape that some aggressive by default razors (Parker) give you. The service in getting the razor to me was first class and the quality of the fit and finish of the product really is a joy to behold.

   I can't believe the machined knob looks to have a better finish than the razor itself! What a quality upgrade - completely worth the money. I didn't purchase the progress because I thought the plastic knob was so ugly: found the mergress and couldn't be happier. Good job!

8. Heirloom quality, killer performance

   I bought this as a follow up to my HD 34C (loved it, just wanted to upgrade to an adjustable) and like the HD, this took some adjustment. I had to 'recalibrate' my technique to account for the additional heft. Now that I've got it down, I get flawless shaves. To any first time DE shavers, there is a slight, albeit bloody learning curve, however the investment in time is worth it! I started about a year ago and with some sage advice from Lee himself, I won't go back to the Mach 3...4...12.

9. Not a single complaint

   This is my first and, I expect, last safety razor. I've used it since January of 2009 and don't have a single complaint. Needless to say, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the customized version of this product.

    This razor is beautiful and works great. That ugly plastic nob on the progress is history and the adjustment scale is consistent even after replacing the blade. Sign up for the email notification and buy one the same day you get the email otherwise it will be out of stock in a day!! Lee's is a great site and highly recommended.
