This is the first safety razor I have owned/used. I don't know what the others offer, but this one is very nice. Felt really good in the hand, cut beautifully, nice weight!

It's pretty aggressive, but with the right blade it really performs. I got it a few months ago as my first DE razor and now it's all I use. Perfect for everyday use.

It's fun to have a bunch of razors, but this is really the only one you need. Perfect shaving angle, great weight, the handle is the right length, and the razor is nicely crafted.
If you're looking for a first (or only) DE razor, forget the expensive adjustables. Go with the Parker 91R and spend the money you save on a nice brush.

I am new to DE shaving, but have been pleasantly surprised so far. I am using the 91R with Feather blades and Proraso cream. I feel that it will take a week or two more to get used to this new setup, but I like the overall finish of the razor. I don't feel it is too aggressive at all. For the price, you won't go wrong with this option as a beginner or as a veteran.

I use the Parker Model: RZ-PAR-14R (14R) natural buffalo horn. It's my everyday razor and the shave quality is superb. It does take some getting use to, but I've found that with any razor. It provides an extra close shave with only the lightest touch. As long as the 91R is on par with the 14R I seen no reason to hesitate in getting it.

My new every day razor. Blows the merkurs away in shave quality. More aggressive than the merkurs, less aggressive than a gillette adjustable on highly aggressive settings, shaving with this razor and using it at the correct angle yields fabulous shaves. I simply keep the razor more perpindicluar to my skin on those "fragile" spots and voila, a BBS shave every time.

some say its aggressive, but all you need to do is adjust to it and learn how to use it. then once you do, you will get closer shaves without needing to do multiple passes.

I added the 91R to my repetoire of Merkur, Weishi, Aristocrat and Superspeed. It is a nice looking razor, and quite heavy.
But it was aggressive as heck, and ate my face up. I tried a variety of blades, but I got more nicks and cuts that when I first started DE shaving!
