1. Rates Wifey 5-Star for Close Shave

   After 10-years of marriage using over-priced cartridge blade razors (2-blades, 3-blades, no 4-blades for extra-close shave!), my wife rates the shave with this "old style" razor the best since she's known me.
   
   As far as the shaving experience goes, it's actually kind of fun. It's a nice routine with nice equipment, and something about it just feels right. Not to mention that you get all this at significantly lower cost per shave than the over-hyped, over-priced multi-blade replaceable cartridge razors.

2. Incredible Shave

   This is my first experience with a safety razor. I will admit, I was somewhat nervous due to some warnings from others about how often I would cut myself. Those warnings couldn't have been more wrong. With the proper technique and prep, this is absolutely the best shave I have ever had. I got the Red Personna blades as well as the feather blades. Both have treated me well. I chose the DR Harris shaving soap (Marlboro). I get a really nice lather and the scent isn't overbearing. For those considering the move to a safety razor, don't be scared. Read about technique and watch some videos online. You can do it. Lee's service was great. This kit is awesome. I couldn't be happier. I will continue to be a customer going forward.

3. Fantastic shave.

   I got my starter kit yesterday, very fast service. Shaved with it this morning. First time with a safety razor. Best shave I've ever had. Extremely close shave, and no knicks! Great product, fast service, great shave! I'm hooked.

4. Haven't received it yet, but customer service is incredible

   I haven't received this yet, and I will update once I get it, but the Lee's customer service is incredible.
   
   I am just looking into safety razors, and I hear this site was good. I ordered this package and picked a soap that was apparently out of order. Within 5 mins, I had a call from Lee himself letting me know he'd need to replace my soap preference if I wanted it shipped immediately. He talked me through a couple options, and hopefully gave me a great suggestion. I was blown away by his one-on-one help that was personable and non-pressure. He even through in some sample soaps and razors so I could try the options we discussed. Seriously, that type of service this day in age? He's likely just made a customer for life.

5. Very Happy/Excellent Customer Service

   I was very impressed with this product after receiving it, and could not wait to shave with it! I had some issues with other products I ordered at the same time as this kit, and Lee called me and settled the issues very quickly, for which I was very pleased! I was most impressed by the customer service I received, and would order from Lee again in the future.
   
   I was very happy with the razor (a Merkur 34C HD), as it is very simple, elegant, and easy to maintain. It comes apart in two pieces at the head for easy blade changing and cleaning between shaves. I was impressed at how easy it is to clean the lather and hair from the razor between shaves.
   
   I also ordered several other blade varieties to sample. This is important - sample blade packs can make a huge difference in your shave, as not every face tolerates the same blade choice. For me, Personna's so far seem to provide the most comfortable, smoothest shave. Feather's tear my face to pieces, regardless of angle/no pressure applied. BIC's felt dull, and Derby's were miserably dull feeling. Try a certain blade for at least 2-3 shaves, and remember to follow strict, appropriate technique when shaving to eliminate problems in your shave (i.e. bad technique, wrong angle, poor lather, blade variety, etc.). This makes diagnosing shaving issues much simpler.
   
   The Super Badger Brush is amazing, and there is a significant difference between the Super and the Pure Badger Brush as far as "prickliness," for lack of a better term. Very soft, luxurious feeling, and makes lathering creams and soaps a breeze. Soft enough to lather creams, but enough backbone to lather soaps appropriately. I always wash the brush with warm water after shaving, being sure to rinse out the lather. Then, gently squeeze the remaining water out, and brush very gently back and forth on a towel to get most of the water out. Then to the rack, bristles down, to dry out until the next shave.
   
   I am especially fond of the GFT Limes Cream - very easy to lather (I bowl lather), and smells amazing. If you are just starting out, creams are the way to go until you figure out lathering technique, then it's time to learn about soaps... that's another story.
   
   The stand is solid, holds the razor and brush quite well, cleans very nicely.
   
   I was very happy with this kit; this kit will be my primary shaving set-up for quite some time, and will easily last a lifetime with appropriate care. And a big thanks to Lee for the outstanding customer service I received!

6. Great first kit

   I chose the upgrade to the Merkur 38CHD Barber Pole; very solid feel and good balance. Using the Merkur blade that came with it, it gives a very smooth and comfortable shave. I chose the DRH Marlborogh soap and Red Personna blades based on the good reviews that they received. This kit makes shaving an elegant experience. I was not disappointed at all.

7. WOW!?

   There are so many choices out there. For a beginner like me, it is difficult to distinguish between the different brands and vendors available.
   I decided that customer service and customer review would have to be the deciding factors for me and I am happy to say that I made the right decision.
   My questions about shipping were quickly answered and I am so happy with the product quality. I'm really excited to get into wet shaving and will continue to do business with leesrazors.com
   For other beginners, there is a learning curve to wet shaving and I recommend you to read all you can and even check out a few videos.

   Ordered the derby blades, and the trumpers sandalwood soap. Was nervous at first, but got the hang of it really quickly. Was comfortable with it before the end of my first shave, which by the way was the closest shave i've ever had!

9. I'm Hooked

   I was a little skeptical, even reluctant, about spending this much on a razor. After all, I was getting reasonably satisfactory results from my previous method. Yet, from the first stroke of the brush, the first pass with this solid feeling metal instrument, and that oddly satisfying sensation of tradition and history, I was hooked. Now I understand.
   
   I got the D.R. Harris Marlborough Cream. I found it to be alright. The smell is a pleasant woody fragrance, very masculine and outdoor. But when I got a sample pack from Truefitt and Hill, I found their creams to deliver a much richer lather and a smoother shave. However, this may have to do with my combination of tools and facial composition as anything.

    Words cannot express how amazing Lee's customer service is. For starters the merchandise they sell is top notch but that doesn't even begin to tell the story of how they aim to please. When I first ordered this kit I had a small issue and wrote the company about it. Later that morning I received a call from Lee himself rectifying the situation. That spoke volumes to me about how this company is run. If you are tired of buying the garbage they peddle in drugstores and are ready for a serious shave I couldn't recommend this site more. You won't be disappointed. I will be a customer for life after the treatment I received.
