Yes, fresh out of the gate Feathers are the ninja assassins people claim. I feel like these are designed more for lighter beards requiring super sharp effectiveness. I feel for a coarse beard Wilkinson Swords shave as close, more comfortable, and stay sharper longer. After 3 shaves, I dare to shave a 4th time using a Feather. 6-7 good shaves is doable with the superior Wilk Swords. (shaving head, neck, face) Weapons of choice: Merkur 34C/1966 Gillette Super Speed, Proraso Cream

I started with the Feather blades I bought with my new razor and got a pretty good burn. I then used the Mercur blade that came with the razor and loved it, went back to the Feather blade after a blade change and again a little too close. I guess it's possible a blade can be too sharp although it sounds crazy for a razor blade. These seems to work great for me with at least a two day growth but a little harsh for everyday use.

Since switching to a DE razor I've always used merkur blades and have never had a problem, however after reading some reviews I figured I would try the feathers. I have to say I love them, I feel like I just had the best shave of my life. There was no drag whatsoever, felt like there wasn't even a blade. I'm gonna be picking up some more of these

I'm new to the safety razor shaving scene and tried these in my Merkur 38c simply because they received many positive reviews. These blades have not worked well for me. The shave is not as close as touted and I have to go over areas I just shaved. After I shave I still see a beard shadow. Also I find I'm getting more nicks using these razors. In particular these do not work as well for the fine work around the mouth and nose area. The Merkur Super blades that came with my razor worked much better than these, completing the job in one pass without nicks.
My advice in my humble and limited experience is to ignore the reviews and try a variety of razors until you find one that suits your beard and skin type.

Not much else to say except yea-aaah!! First time i shaved with them I had a two day growth and I have a heavy beard. After the first pass I had to rinse the razor off and look to see if I forgot to put the blade in! These will give you the best comfort ever....they cut the hair not rip it out!!!! They are not, however, a blade to shave with if you are in a hurry.

I recently bought the Feather DE combo with 2 of these blades, I ordered a pack of 10 also.
they are so sharp, I have not cut myself yet though my first DE razor. I remember my GrandPa used one, this is one time the old ways are still best.will not go back to other types of razors. Keep up the good work.

Have shaved with the same wet razor my whole life (Merkur Slant Blade) and have always been reluctant to go more than three days without shaving as I have a very heavy beard and the old Merkur razors would just hack away even when they were new. With these blades I actually look forward to shaving on day #3 as they are extremely effecient and smooth. Not for beginners!

When I first used these blades, I had never ever in my life felt anything so sharp touch my face like that. I cut myself quite a few times to be honest. I went back to the Merkur, not because I didn't like these, but I just didn't know if I was ready. You really need a lot of patience with these blades.
I shared more on my experiences on my blog, blog.reelmodels.com/2010/07/27/the-art-of-shave-for-gentlemen-part-2-the-wet-shave, would be nice to hear input from others on all the various blades they have tried. They are hands down the best if you can handle it.

I love quality and craftsmanship. It just makes me feel good. Simple things like these blades being perfect for what they do contribute to getting the day started right. They are extremely sharp, seem to hold their edge, and make shaving with them a joy.
